The "Lady of Brussels" was originally a part of the collection Hagemans. It is one of the oldest examples of large stone sculpture of a private person. The archaic execution dates it to the beginning of the 3rd Dynasty. The wig and the face display a perfect symmetry. Her left arm is bent at the elbow, and held across her body, while the right arm is hanging down. She wears a very tight dress, accentuating the curves of her body.
