The base of this scarab bears the cartouche of the Hyksos ruler Sheshi (15th dynasty). Above, we see the royal title “sA ra”, ‘son of Ra’ and below the wish “djd ankh”, ‘eternal life’. The solar disk of Ra and the hieroglyphs “nfr” and “ankh” are placed in two side columns.
