The base of this scarab displays the cartouche of Thutmosis III, “mn-khpr-ra” above an ichneumon (Egyptian mongoose). This animal is hardly ever depicted on scarabs and the combination with a royal name is very rare: parallels date from the Third Intermediate Period (21st-25th dynasty).
