The base of this seal amulet in the shape of a kauri shell shows a bee and a lizard. Although similar compositions on seal amulets appear as early as the Old Kingdom, the style of the engraving and the proportions of this seal amulet point to a date around the Early Middle Kingdom (late 10th – early 11th dynasty).
