The base of this scarab shows the throne name of Thutmosis III (“mn-kheper-ra”) and an epithet that emphasizes his military conquests: “smA pDtw” (‘who kills enemies’), with multiple short strokes that denominate the plural and point to the large number of enemies (literally: ‘thousands’).
