The base of this scarab bears several hieroglyphs: the ichneumon (Egyptian mongoose), the solar disk “ra”, the ostrich feather “maat” and the sign of Heliopolis “iwnw”. This inscription can be interpreted in several ways: ‘Ra of Heliopolis’, ‘Atum-ra of Heliopolis’ or even ‘Amun Ra’. Similar seals date from the 25th dynasty.
