The base of this scarab bears a composition of spirals with a central knot. Above, the hieroglyph “ankh”, below “nfr”. On both sides of the knot are “wdjAt” eyes. Both the composition and morphology of the scarab point to a date in the late Middle Kingdom (mid 12th-13th dynasty).
