The base of this scarab carries an inscription with the name of a certain Dehenty. The seal mentions the title of this official (to the right): “sS n khnrt wr”, ‘scribe of the large enclosure (building)’. Scarabs with the names of non-royal individuals are mostly known in the late Middle Kingdom and the morphology of this scarab points to the 13th dynasty. This official is known only from this source.
